Roasting Marshmallows
30" x 36"

Paintings can be made to capture your favorite memories. The small faded, black and white, picture taken in 1957 was interpreted into the painting on the left. The client was able to have a more tangible memento of that favorite day at the beach.

Heirloom Saw

A 6' crosscut saw, used by the client's parents to clear the family homesite, was painted with an historical scene of Nehalem Bay, Oregon. The client requested a painting which captured early 20th century of the bayside town. Bill added the leaping salmon in recognition of the client's love of salmon fishing.

Memorial Painting
42" x 28"

A painting recalling a happy time is a moving memorial for a loved one. Bill painted this picture from a favorite photograph of his daughter Gloria at age 10. The two had gone backpacking together, and she spent most of her time trying to net salamanders. It was a trip they both remembered fondly. He completed the painting in February of 2002, and a few months later Gloria was killed in an automobile accident at age 30.
